3Go for a Better Silkstone Doll  Dec 14, 2010 By Talvi
The Silkstone dolls (made of heavier vinyl that feels and weighs more like porcelain) have quite a few better choices than this doll. Her bathingsuit isn't that interesting and one of the reasons to pay the price of a Silkstone doll is to get the high quality fashions. Her hair, with the very obvious brown lowlighting in the the blonde, looks very low class on her. And the bathingsuit really emphasizes the odd shape of the Barbie Fashion Model Dolls.

This is definitely not one of the better designed dolls in the line. Her original design images ended up looking a lot better than the finished doll. I think she is fine for collectors who buy about anything Silkstone but those who only want a few beautiful Silkstone dolls would likely be better served to get a different doll.

3She has a big head!  Nov 16, 2011 By Ginger Diedrich
I have been a collector for over 30yrs. with silkstones being my fave. But it seems that over the last 2 or 3 yrs. the quality has went down while the price has went up! Each year their silkstone dolls have a theme that they follow. 2010 was a Miami/beach/leisure type theme and the "tan" skintone color they gave them was a very nice change from the 50th anniversary line in which they made them so pale that it looked like they may have glowed in the dark!LOL! Anyway, when I got this doll and opened it my 1st. thought was that something just did not look right with her but I could not put my finger on what it was. So I just kept looking at her and trying to figure out what was wrong with her and then it hit me what it was! She has a really big head! Not sure if it really is her head that is wrong or the style/color of her hair or a combination of all the above; but whatever it may or may not be the fact remains that she looks odd and unbalanced!! My overall opinion of her is that I would not pay full price for her; but if you have never bought a silkstone and are really wanting to try one then I would recommend this doll. At the price that she is being sold for would make a great starter doll for you to try the silkstone for the 1st. time without having to spend a small fortune! She would also make a great xmas gift for an older child or adult that want to start a collection! This is a good deal for a silkstone doll big head and all! I am thinking of buying a couple more for gifts and to "redo" her as a OOAK(one of a kind)artist doll! Hope this info helps!

2so so  Feb 23, 2011 By E. Powers
I am a usually big fan of the silkstone dolls, but something about this doll seem off. It didn't vibe well with me at all. It is now stored up on my shelf in my closet. I will probabley end up selling it at a yard sale.
